Quite a few big changes are occuring for Swordsman right now. Let's list some things.
- A lot of revision is happening. I've recently found myself growing unconfident in various aspects of Swordsman. Things that could be done a lot better with more time in the oven. I had originally wanted to just get Chapter 2 done, but rushed game is bad game, y'know? So me and Akita are going back, tweaking and changing story bits, character designs, cutscenes, all that jazz. It's gonna be a big undertaking, but I'd say it's worth it, to make Swordsman the best it can be!
- Swordsman's visuals are really outdated by now, time for a refresh! My artstyle has changed a lot since 2022, and that makes Swordsman stick out when compared to my other projects. I'll be overhauling Swordsman's art, making it look a lot nicer and adding more detail. Also, the cutscenes are gonna be redone in flash, because I find animating in Scratch extremely difficult. This should make things more efficient, and make cutscenes a lot more lively and less simplistic!
- Making a new project for every Swordsman build is unnecessary. Why not just keep it as one project? Once the next Swordsman build is ready, it's going to be released as an update to Swordsman Prototype. From then on, the plan is to just keep updating from that. That way my account isn't cluttered up with like five Swordsman games. I still have the Scratch projects for both Prototype and Chapter 1, so archival can happen if there's demand for it?
That's pretty much it, things are happening, stuff's occuring, and events are taking place.
K bye lol
